5. Who we share it with

  • Service providers that run our store, payments, shipping, customer service, email and site features, under contracts that limit how they use your information.
  • Advertising and analytics partners listed in section 4.
  • Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights, customers or the public.
  • A buyer or successor if our business is sold or merged.

6. Advertising, "selling" and "sharing"

We don't sell your information for money. But when our advertising partners collect information on our site to show you ads on other sites, some US state laws call that "selling" or "sharing" personal information. Our advertising partners may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites. You can opt out at any time by:

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

If you're in the US and your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information from that browser. When we receive it, Meta, Microsoft, HubSpot and Wiser’s activity tracking stop, and Google is told to restrict how it uses the data. Review, search and page tools that only measure how our own site is used keep doing so. If you want to make sure your opt-out covers a particular tool, email us at info@amnautical.com. We don't respond to other "Do Not Track" signals because there's no common standard for them.

8. Live chat and forms

Chats through our live chat are provided by Tawk.to and are recorded and stored so we can answer you and improve our service. Please don't share card numbers or other sensitive details in chat. Where you see our cookie banner, live chat appears once you accept Preferences. Information you enter in our forms may be processed by HubSpot and Omnisend to respond to you and, if you opt in, to send you marketing.

9. Email and text messages

We send marketing emails or texts only if you've agreed. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can reply STOP to any text. Order and shipping messages continue as long as you have an open order.

10. How long we keep it

  • Order and invoice records: 7 years, for tax and accounting.
  • Customer service emails and chat transcripts: 2 years.
  • Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics and advertising data: as set by each provider, up to 14 months where we control the setting.

11. Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can opt out of marketing. Email info@amnautical.com or call +1 954-522-3321. To confirm it's you, we'll ask you to write from the email address on your order or give us an order number. We'll reply within one month if you're in the EU, EEA, UK or Switzerland, and within 45 days everywhere else. If we turn down your request, we'll tell you why, and you can appeal by replying to our answer. An authorized agent can make a request for you if they send us your signed permission, and we may ask you to confirm your identity with us directly. We won't treat you differently for using these rights.

12. California residents

In the last 12 months we collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email, address, IP address, cookie IDs); commercial information (orders and products viewed); internet activity (pages, searches, clicks); approximate location; and the contents of chats and forms you send us. We collect them from you, your device, and the partners in section 4, for the purposes in section 3. We disclosed identifiers, commercial information and internet activity to the advertising partners in section 4, which may count as "selling" or "sharing". We do this so we and our partners can show you ads and measure them. We also disclosed identifiers, commercial information, internet activity and the contents of chats and forms to our service providers (store hosting, payments, shipping, email, chat and customer service) so they can run these services for us. We don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We don't collect sensitive personal information for inferring characteristics about you.

You have the right to know, delete and correct your information, to opt out of its sale or sharing (use Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information), and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. You may use an authorized agent. You may also ask once a year which businesses we disclosed information to for their own direct marketing (California's "Shine the Light" law).

13. Visitors from the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland

ANS is the controller of your personal information. We rely on these legal bases: to perform our contract with you (orders, delivery, customer service); our legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, running and improving the site); your consent (analytics and marketing cookies, marketing emails); and legal obligations (tax records). You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, with the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page, or by using the unsubscribe link in our emails.

You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our use of your information, and to receive it in a portable format. You can complain to your local data protection authority; in the UK, that’s the Information Commission.

Your information is processed in the United States. Where we transfer it from Europe or the UK, we rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider takes part, or on standard contractual clauses.

You don't have to give us your personal information, but we can't take or deliver an order without your name, address and payment details. We don't make decisions about you based only on automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects. Our fraud filter can automatically block traffic that looks like a bot or fraud; if that happens to you, email us and a person will review it. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to us first at info@amnautical.com and we'll acknowledge it within 30 days.

14. Children

Our site is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

15. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, but no website is completely secure.

16. Changes to this policy

We'll post any change here and update the effective date. If a change is significant, we'll tell you on the site or by email.
