TIMEZERO PBG Module

The TIMEZERO Personal Bathymetric Generator (PBG) module enables your TZ Professional software to observe, record, and analyze data directly from the seafloor when used with compatible sounding equipment. Whether connected directly or through a NavNet system, the PBG module is your solution to seabed imaging in real time.

The most innovative tool on the market for professional fishing, the PBG module eliminates load times to give you accurate 2D and 3D seabed images using data harvested by your sounder. Each piece of depth information is stored within a local bathymetric database with files being made ready to export to other databases or to be referenced back to at a later date.

Depth points are even recorded at their exact location, improving upon the traditional grid system relied on by professional vessels and sport fishing enthusiasts alike. Data can be filtered within the TIMEZERO workspace based on tidal height corrections, depth preference, and quality to filter out invalid data from your database.

Data filters can even be used to create consistency thresholds that identify outliers that may point to system or equipment issues, protecting the integrity of your data. Any rejected data will come with a notification prompting a manual review of the information which helps to further calibrate this robust module. Any bad data points can be deleted from the 3D database by selecting the area to remove and hitting delete. All changes can be undone and redone to protect against mistakes.

Over 20 Years of Innovation in One Module

TIMEZERO's legacy began when it revolutionized the industry with the first 3D displays of bathymetry sounding data available with the TZ Professional software. Commercial and personal fishing vessels around the world have used the PBG functionality to map out existing routes and plan future campaigns, taking advantage of more than 20 years of resources being focused into the functionality.

Since then, additional bottom discrimination features have been added to increase functionality and the amount of seabed information harvested. Bottom localization allows for classification of seabed composition to determine sand, gravel, mud, and rock from one another. Furuno sounders used with the PBG module can integrate specific sounding modules for even more in-depth information on bottom composition, all color coded with gray-scale options for multi-layered data.

TZ Professional PBG modules are able to pull from three different databases which include file imports, your PBG database, and chart information. Each dataset can be toggled on and off to display the exact set of information you're looking for. Any selected databases have their 3D images merged on-screen to identify the most accurate and consistent data, displaying based on your filters.

User tools within the PBG module serve to create more dynamic databases which allows you to isolate the best fishing spots, even in well-known areas. Shade different types of terrain based on the preferences of the species of fish you're seeking. Viewing 3D images of the seabed reveals structures and rocks that fish hide near, giving you a chance to increase yield on each voyage. The PBG Brush mode adjusts the width of images to reduce the amount of unrelated data.
