The new edition of International Maritime solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC Code) & Supplement, 2020 Edition is now available for purchase.

What’s it for?
The IMSBC Code was adopted on December 4, 2008 by resolution MSC.268(85) and came into force on January 1, 2011. The present edition incorporates amendment 05-19, which may be applied from January 1, 2020 on a voluntary basis, anticipating its envisaged official entry into force on January 1, 2021.
Why is it needed?
The IMSBC Code and Supplement, 2020 Edition, is recommended for the safe use of pesticides in vessels applicable to the fumigation of cargo holds. This new edition will not render obsolete the previous 2018 edition which remains valid until December 31 2020.
Who does the IMSBC Code and Supplement apply to?
The Code is applicable to all administrations, shipowners, shippers and masters.
Who needs to have the IMSBC Cod and Supplement?
The IMSBC Code is also suitable to all others related with the standards to be applied in the safe stowage and shipment of solid bulk cargoes.
