This white lanyard clips on the clapper of the 7 inch or 8 inch brass or chrome bells (7000 or 8000). The lanyard features a nautical hand-tied monkey fist.

I purchased this for a copper bell on the front of our house. It’s perfect!
Excellent quality, original concept. The end of the lanyard is a “monkey fist”. This knot is used over a lead ball at the end of a line to send the line over to pull the much larger line used to tie up a ship to shore or another ship. Used this while assigned on board Submarine USS Stonewall Jackson SSBN 634. Brought back some great memories!
