The Electronic Chart; Fundamentals, Functions Data and Other Essentials - A Textbook for ECDIS Use and Training (Fourth Edition)

Geomares Publishing, publisher of Hydro International, is proud to announce the release of the fourth and totally revised edition of the book 'The Electronic Chart'. The structure and content of this fourth edition has been designed to meet the specific needs of the ECDIS stakeholder community. 

The book focuses on fundamentals and the technical and legal background of ECDIS and chart data, general guidance on ECDIS use and good practise as well as general guidance on training and certification, all based on the most recent standards of IHO and IMO (STCW). For the fourth edition of the The Electronic Chart, the authors Horst Hecht, Bernhard Berking and Mathias Jonas were joined by Marcus Wöster.
