Life-Saving Appliance Symbols With Text

SOLAS, Chapter III, Regulation 20.10 requires signs to identify the locations of life saving equipment in accordance with recommendations of IMO.  Reference should be made to the symbols related to Life Saving Appliances and arrangements adopted by IMO by resolution A.760 (18), MSC82 (70) and A.952 (23). 
MSC / Circ. 777 advises that "Assembly station" has the same meaning as "Muster station".

The appropriate symbol should be used to identify each item of life saving equipment or the locker in which it is stowed. 

Muster/assembly stations and embarkation stations (lifeboat symbol) should be identified with the appropriate sign qualified with an identification number or letter, to the right of the sign. Directions to each station can be marked using the Direction Signs or by using a muster/assembly station or lifeboat symbol plus an arrow. 'MM' size (300 x 300mm) muster/assembly station and lifeboat signs are available, along with 'MJ' (300 x 150mm) size numbers and letters for clearer identification within large areas.

Smaller GG & EE Lifejacket signs can be used in cabins to mark lockers where these items are stowed.
