Collection: Light Lists

A valuable source of additional information to aid navigation in U.S. waters (both around the coastline and around U.S. territories), the USCG Light Lists is a series of seven volumes. Each nautical book covers a different section of the coast.

Light Lists describe each navigation aid that is maintained or authorized by the U.S. Coast Guard in a specified area. Various types of navigation aids are included in the Light Lists, such as fog signals, lights, beacons, buoys and radar beacons. Generic information on utilizing navigation aids is also included.

The USCG Light Lists are designed to be used alongside traditional charts, as a complementary resource. As a result, they're not intended for use as a stand-alone navigation resource.

Light Lists are updated each year. To ensure up-to-date navigation information, check the Local Notice to Mariners for data on your intended route.
