This List is a service publication issued annually by ITU in pursuance of Article 20 of the Radio Regulations. As prescribed in Appendix 16 to the aforementioned Regulations, all stations on board ships for which a GMDSS or Morse radiotelegraph installation is required by international agreement shall be provided with this List.

Please note: The List of Ship Stations (List V) and the List of Call Signs and Numerical Identities (List VIIA) have merged into a new Service publication entitled List of Ship Stations and Maritime Mobile Service Identity Assignments (List V). This new List will be issued annually and no supplements will be printed. List V is made up of two parts: The booklet which contains the preface and reference tables, and the CD-ROM which contains the data
